Saturdays  – SILVERSMITHING Open Studio

Students who have completed a basic silversmithing class can work on their own projects from 9 a.m. to noon unless a class is scheduled.

Supervised Open Studio:

Cost: $10 per hour

All tools needed are available for participant’s use.

Space is limited to six — if more than four participants, tools will need to be shared.

Registration is required for four-week course, dates to be announced. Students will learn the proper methods of silver soldering and other jewelry making techniques including sawing, filing, sanding, polishing and bezel stone setting to construct their own sterling silver ring and pendant.
Course Fee: $150
(Pre-payment required) All tools needed in class will be available for student’s use.
Additional costs: Approximately $100
Students will be required to purchase the silver and stones needed to make their ring and pendant.
The first class, is a 3-hour orientation class to familiarize students with the tools they will be using. During the next three classes (4 hours each) students will construct their ring and pendant.
