Hike Description: Enjoy getting to know some of trails and history around NMVC. We will start at the Visitor center where we had our annual party, take the Charles Christiansen Tr down the valley to Shaw Butte Trail .  Traveling clockwise on Trail 306 we go up the steep south side of Shaw Butte and stop in at Cloud Nine Restaurant Ruins . Sorry no food served.  At the top of the mt. the views of the valley will delight us and we will take a short break . On the down hill we can stop in at Hohokam ruins and see the petroglyphs replicated in the visitor center . This is a moderately difficult hike due to the steepness of the trail.
