Meet Up (when & where): 8:30 AM at Granite Mountain Trailhead

31402 N 136th St, Scottsdale, McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

Estimated Difficulty: easy/moderate for distance, some elevation change

Estimated Length in Hours: 3 – 3.5 hours

Estimated Distance in Miles: 6

Description: Start with the Bootlegger trail to the Scenic Viewpoint, then follow the Granite Mountain Loop trail to the Coyote Canyon trail. We will pass through a granite wall with interesting rock formations. We will take a break here.

Continue on the Dove Valley Trail to the 136th St. Express trail, then back to the parking lot.

Created saguaro, a rock looks like Coyote, open Sonoran view. Restroom is available at the trailhead.

Driving Instructions: Find Dynamite Rd in Scottsdale go east, it turns into Rio Verde Rd to 136th St turn left and take the roller coaster ride to the signed Granite Mountain Trailhead on the left.
