Hike Description: After a summer of hot, steep rocky hikes in the Phoenix Preserve, let’s do our yearly “Urban Hike”. This is a nice relaxed walk in a scenic area of Phoenix where the “old money” was. The Bridle path is a favorite of locals because the path is smooth dirt and it’s shaded early mornings by huge Olive and Ash trees making it a refreshing change from hiking in the Arizona heat. Leave your hiking boots home and just wear your walking shoes today.
Drive Instructions: Go to Central Avenue and Bethany Home. Parking is available in the North Phoenix Baptist Church lot at Central Ave. and Bethany Home. Park close to the intersection.
