SUMMARY:Coffee House Saturdays with live music – Performance by DOUG METZGER
DESCRIPTION:Doug plays multiple Native American flutes. Inspired by Native American flutists like Carlos Nakai\, Tree Cody\, and Mary Youngblood\, Doug will cover songs\nfrom these artists; but he has also created his own collection musical portraits\, often relating to nature and natural surroundings\, and often painting musical images of one of Arizona’s treasures—the Mogollon Rim—the forest\, streams\, birds\, … Come and enjoy the journey. \n \nCoffee House Saturdays occurs every third and fourth Saturday of the month at the North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC) located at 12950 North 7th Street in Phoenix. \nFree hot coffee\, refreshments and live music offered from 9 AM to 11 AM. \nAdmission is always free. \nDonations to Save Our Mountains Foundation (501c3) are always welcome. Any purchases made at our gift shop go toward supporting facility operations and our nonprofit’s mission of protecting the preserve for future generations. \nCall 602-343-5125 with any questions. \n
