DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our open Old-Time Jam Sessions at North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC). Players of all ages and ability come together in the time-honored tradition of gathering and playing music. \n​We encourage acoustical instruments to share in these traditional tunes. Fiddles\, dulcimers\, banjos\, guitars\, harps\, accordions\, mandolins\, dobros\, zithers\, upright bass\, Irish whistles\, flutes\, bodhrans\, rhythm bones\, spoons\, and more. \nAll are welcome  \nWe have been gathering around the Valley sharing tunes and songs for over 20 years. We play a mix of traditional fiddle tunes\, Appalachian Mountain music\, Canadian\, Irish & Scottish tunes (jigs\, polkas\, reels\, waltzes\, hornpipes) and more.

DESCRIPTION:Arizona Blues Hall Of Famer\, Eric Ramsey\, is the Winner of the International Blues Challenge as well as the Memphis Cigar Box Guitar Award for the outstanding guitarist in the Solo/Duo Category. He’s a three-time Champion of the Phoenix Blues Society’s Blues Showdown\, a two-time Finalist at the Telluride Blues Challenge. He’s a Winner of the Stefan George Memorial Songwriting Contest sponsored by the Tucson Folk Festival\, Winner of the Peoples’ Choice Award at the Wildflower Arts and Music Festival\, a Finalist in the Al Johnson Songwriting Competition\, and has been tapped for the prestigious Songwriter’s Showcase produced by Tempe Center for the Arts\, filmed for PBS distribution. He’s been a 4x featured performer at the Dripping Springs (TX) Songwriter’s Festival\, has garnered numerous accolades for his songwriting\, and performs at concerts and festivals nationwide. \n \nCoffee House Saturdays occurs every third and fourth Saturday of the month at the North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC) located at 12950 North 7th Street in Phoenix. \nFree hot coffee\, refreshments and live music offered from 9 AM to 11 AM. \nAdmission is always free. \nDonations to Save Our Mountains Foundation (501c3) are always welcome.
