SUMMARY:NMVC THURSDAY HIKES: PALOMA PARK RIDGELINE LOOP
DESCRIPTION:Location: Paloma Park\, Peoria\, AZ \nHike Leader(s) & Contact(s): Wendy Rennert. Text at 480-206-9042 or email bsunrise80@gmail.com \nhttp://www.facebook.com/groups/NMVCHiking \nMeet Up (When & Where): 9 am at east end of Paloma Park (near the dog park) \nEstimated difficulty: Moderate (679′ E/C) \nEstimated Length in Hours: 3-4 \nEstimated Distance in Miles: 5 \nDescription: Relatively recently\, Peoria completed construction of a section of trail that connects the Ridgeline and Speckled Rattler trails\, but their trail map has not yet been updated. So there is now a very nice loop with some decent elevation gain at that park that I don’t think many people know about yet (so let’s keep it our secret\, hee hee!) There are 4 trails that form this loop (Multi use Path A\, Speckled Rattler\, Ridgeline and Crankset)\, and includes a flat/smooth and wide section\, rocky sections\, a series of switchbacks\, and sections of single track. Nice views. \nDriving Instructions: I-17 North to Loop 303 Sonoran Desert Parkway (exit # 221). Left onto Loop 303. Left on N. Lake Pleasant Parkway. Go 1 mile\, then turn left onto W. Dixileta Dr. (stop light) into Paloma Park. At traffic circle\, stay right and take all the way to the (east) end\, park by the Dog Park. There are restrooms at trailhead. Address is 29799 N. Lake Pleasant Parkway\, Peoria

Please join us on Saturday\, January 18th\, for a trip in our musical time machine. Using a combination of folk songs and antique photographs\, I will show you what the lives of these men were like. We will discuss some of the details of their daily lives showing their hopes\, dreams and fears. Come on this grand trip down into the mines and life in the holler!” \nMark your calendars and bring your lunches! You won’t want to miss this!
