(PMPC) monthly meetings of the Board of Directors are open to the public. \nPMPC invites everyone to attend and learn more about the original nonprofit organization that lead the race to save the desert open spaces since its inception in 1970. \nPMPC is dedicated to preserving select desert areas to ensure that natural open space remains in our greater city area.  These Preserves guarantee that our way of life remains connected to nature and a wonderfully fascinating\, yet delicate\, environment is kept easily available to all our citizens.

DESCRIPTION:Funds raised at this event directly support Save Our Mountains Foundation\, a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to acquire and preserve land to assist in the expansion of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.  We support the Mountains Preserve with education\, conservation\, and research as well as maintain operations at the North Mountains Visitor Center\, the Exhibit Hall of the Phoenix Mountains Preserve\, in collaboration with the City of Phoenix.
