Some of the path is rocky with a few areas short areas we will need to scramble over. The steep section of rocks has good grip. On the way down we will see lots of saguaro and tall chain fruit cholla. The views are worth the drive out to the Superstitions and the inconvenience of the scrambles. Bring a lunch since we are stating late.  \nDrive Instructions: Get to 202 and drive East to exit 26. E Brown Rd. At the traffic circle take the 3rd exit staying on Brown Rd\, next traffic circle take the first exit still staying on Brown Rd\, go 7.4 mi. Turn L on AZ 88 Apache Tr. Go 3.3 miles to First Water Tr (0.1 miles past Lost Dutchman’s Park) turn R go 0.7 mi to the parking lot for Cross Cut Tr (the 3rd parking area on the road) \n

Whether you are planning on leading a multi-day trip or even a day hiker who wants to be prepared for anything that may come up.
