DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our open Old-Time Jam Sessions at North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC). Players of all ages and ability come together in the time-honored tradition of gathering and playing music. \n​We encourage acoustical instruments to share in these traditional tunes. Fiddles\, dulcimers\, banjos\, guitars\, harps\, accordions\, mandolins\, dobros\, zithers\, upright bass\, Irish whistles\, flutes\, bodhrans\, rhythm bones\, spoons\, and more. \nAll are welcome  \nWe have been gathering around the Valley sharing tunes and songs for over 20 years. We play a mix of traditional fiddle tunes\, Appalachian Mountain music\, Canadian\, Irish & Scottish tunes (jigs\, polkas\, reels\, waltzes\, hornpipes) and more. \n \n

DESCRIPTION:Annie Moscow conveys her artistry as a performer\, contemporary poet and modern-day storyteller\, with her fresh perspective and unique themes. With a piano style that ranges from the intimate to explosive\, combined with a unique and powerful voice\, her cinematic songs take you right into the picture. Moscow’s music has range and has been compared to artists as diverse as Carole King\, Billy Joel\, Laura Nyro and Jacques Brel.\nAnnie Moscow will be joined by Vanessa Purdy on back-up vocals. Vanessa Purdy has been a full-time AZ musician and studio backup singer in the greater PHX area for over four decades. She has performed at most of the top resorts in the Valley\, and at Duck and Decanter from 1983-1999. \n \nCoffee House Saturdays occurs every third and fourth Saturday of the month at the North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC) located at 12950 North 7th Street in Phoenix. \nFree hot coffee\, refreshments and live music offered from 9 AM to 11 AM. \nAdmission is always free. \nDonations to Save Our Mountains Foundation (501c3) are always welcome. DESCRIPTION:  \n \nThe Sentimental Sisters are Joanie Moss and Lisa Lynch Joanie and Lisa have been performing music together since last year and have performed at Aunt Chilada’s and North Mountain Brewing Company for weekly open mics. Joanie loves to sing the music of her mother’s era and has a real flair for the sassy stylings of the songbirds who sing such songs as Ain’t Misbehavin’\, Sixteen Tons\, Almost Lost My Mind\, and Summertime\, to list just a few. She sings with her sultry voice while Lisa tinkles the ivories just enough to move the song along and showcase Joanie’s amazing vocal performance. Lisa is a local singer/songwriter who has been writing original Christian songs since 2018 and in the last couple years has also written some secular songs. She also covers the 70s and 80s at local open mics when she has time. She has recently joined an 80s cover band called Street Light Curfew.
