DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our open Old-Time Jam Sessions at North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC). Players of all ages and ability come together in the time-honored tradition of gathering and playing music. \n​We encourage acoustical instruments to share in these traditional tunes. Fiddles\, dulcimers\, banjos\, guitars\, harps\, accordions\, mandolins\, dobros\, zithers\, upright bass\, Irish whistles\, flutes\, bodhrans\, rhythm bones\, spoons\, and more. \nAll are welcome  \nWe have been gathering around the Valley sharing tunes and songs for over 20 years. We play a mix of traditional fiddle tunes\, Appalachian Mountain music\, Canadian\, Irish & Scottish tunes (jigs\, polkas\, reels\, waltzes\, hornpipes) and more.

DESCRIPTION:Mark Bishop Evans grew up in Southern California where his major musical influences\nwere Gordon Lightfoot\, Peter\, Paul & Mary\, Bob Dylan\, Paul Simon and pretty much any folk\, folk rock\, or beach music.\nHe has a way with words and melodies\, bringing them together in pleasant and poignant combinations. His music is an intriguing blend of folk\, folk rock\, and ballads\, lyrically rich in emotional content and melodically comfortable like a favorite jacket.\nAfter spending 30 years in the Boston area and loving the folk and songwriter\ncommunity\, he has settled in Phoenix and continues to create and perform. \n \nCoffee House Saturdays occurs every third and fourth Saturday of the month at the North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC) located at 12950 North 7th Street in Phoenix. \nFree hot coffee\, refreshments and live music offered from 9 AM to 11 AM. \nAdmission is always free. \nDonations to Save Our Mountains Foundation (501c3) are always welcome.
