SUMMARY:BOTANICAL ART PERMANENT DISPLAY: SEEDS – Foundation of Life\, Hope for the Future
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the: \n \nMany of us are familiar with the old proverb\, “From a tiny acorn a mighty oak grows.”  True\, but consider Saguaro\, King of the Sonoran Desert.  Its tiny seeds\, 1-1.5mm\, can develop into a forty-foot giant. Supporting these tiny power houses are the fruits which come in a variety of shapes and sizes providing the nurturing environment for the seeds to develop. \nCome visit the North Mountain Visitor Center (NMVC) and view an exquisite display of botanical illustrations created by members of the Southwest Society of Botanical Artists (SWSBA).  This display serves to educate us all in the variety and power of some of our Sonoran Desert plants and their miniscule foundation. \nBeautiful illustrations and descriptions await your visit!  This permanent display can be viewed every day during our open hours of operation. \nNMVC also has a permanent exhibit of scientific illustrations of plants found in the preserve\, largely illustrated by SWSBA members. Come visit soon!  NMVC is open every day from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.
